Full-Time Workers

... Different Jobs

The work of the Full-Time workers includes many types and methods of missionary work including literature distribution, youth work, coffee bar evangelism, a Christian bookshop, Bible studies, counseling new believers, Emmaus Bible Correspondence Courses, film evangelism, a film rental library, open-air preaching, Christian camps and house parties, and team evangelism.

Practical workers are also needed to enable the evangelistic activities to be carried on and include secretaries, general office workers, construction and maintenance workers, a gardener, a cook, houseparents/hostess at Charleville; Camp director, a bookkeeper, office manager, etc. As God expands the ministry, the types of work expands and the list of workers needed for various responsibilities also grows.

All the work is done in conjunction with local assemblies or New Testament churches where they exist, and if no evangelical testimony exists in an area, then the goal is to establish a New Testament church in that area. Where New Testament churches already exist, we attempt to encourage and involve the believers in evangelism and add to their numbers by directing contacts and new converts to that particular fellowship. Our overall goal in all of our activities is to win men and women for the Saviour, New Testament church/assembly planting and/or building, and ultimately to see God glorified in and through us and all that we seek to do for Him.

... Finances

The ministry of Ireland Outreach International is a total faith ministry, and we look only to the Lord to provide for the needs of the work. There is no endowment or guaranteed source of finance, and we can only carry on and expand the work as God provides through the voluntary contributions of His people in New Testament type church/assemblies and from individuals.

All full-time workers with Ireland Outreach International are commended (or commissioned) by their home assemblies/New Testament type churches to full-time service for the Lord. They all trust God to provide for all of their needs and none of them receive any guaranteed salary or living allowance from Ireland Outreach or other sources. All of these workers serve the Lord like any other assembly commended worker does who works as an individual

... Responsibility

The full-time workers usually have at least 1 or 2 major ministries for which they are responsible, and they are assisted by Short Term workers, Summer and Missionary Exposure Team members and local Irish Christian volunteers.

All of the full-time workers associated with Ireland Outreach International are responsible to the Lord for their activities. However, due to the many varied activities of the fellowship of Ireland Outreach International, and the desire of the workers to co-operate together, each worker realises there are lines of responsibility within the fellowship, just as those working with the Apostle Paul were responsible to him and the Lord, and Paul in turn was responsible to the Church at Antioch and the Lord.
